The Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, the Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp, has encouraged the members of the Ancient Order, Knights and Ladies Auxiliary of St. John International (KSJI) to keep the faith of the Catholic Church at all times.
Speaking to the members of the KSJI Commandery no. 833 and Ladies` Auxiliary no. 718 of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Ashale Botwe in Accra, during a recent visit to him, the Archbishop urged them to continue serving God and His Church as Soldiers of Christ.
The visit was part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the formation of the Commandery and Ladies’ Auxiliary on the theme “A decade of witnessing Faith, Charity and Fraternity” John 1:6-8.
The Worthy President, Lieutenant Augustine Asafo -Adjei, thanked the Archbishop for receiving them and congratulated him on his 5th anniversary as the Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra and thanked him for the continuous development in the Archdiocese of Accra.
The Respected President, Sister Lydia Anderson on behalf of the Commandery and Auxiliary donated an undisclosed amount to the Archbishop.
Archbishop Kwofie thanked the group for the visit and donation, saying the amount would go into the continual work of the Legacy of Hope Project in the Archdiocese.
The Chairman of the Liturgical Committee who doubled as a Catechist, Sir Knight Cornelius Dordunu, informed the Archbishop that the group would also have their Lenten Recollection at the Archbishop Andoh Catechetical and Retreat Centre at Shai Hills to prepare them spiritually for the death and resurrection of Christ.
The group prayed for the Archbishop and the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra led by Sister Yvonne Bonsra and Brother Philip Fataa.
