Life in the Spirit Seminar for Catholic Charismatic Renewal members in Kwaekese community is currently ongoing at the St. Theresa Catholic Church, Kwaekese, in the Donkorkrom Apostolic Vicariate in Ghana’s Eastern Region.
The May 25 to June 23, 2024 Seminar organized by Sr. Cecilia Clare Kudexa, SMMC, the Directress of Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Vicariate, in collaboration with Mr. Harrison Dzorkor, the Vicariate Charismatic Leader together with some local team members including Sr. Joy Abuh, MSHR and Mr. Anthony Amoah, aims at leading people to deeper Christian life in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Sr. Kudexa underlined the core objective of Life in the Spirit seminars, saying, “The aim of these seminars is not to produce some wonderful spiritual experience; rather, they are intended to help people turn to Jesus, to become holy, Chirst-like men and women filled with the Spirit of Jesus.”
“It is intended at helping participants recognise that as believers, they are called to membership in a faith community, and to a life of service using the gifts, fruits and charisms offered through the Holy Spirit,” she stressed.
The Seminar, which is an evening programme, is being attended by 60 participants, who are fully dedicated and committed to all the teachings being offered by the Seminar.
In a bit to have a variety of input within the one-month Life in the Spirit Seminar, a team of Macedonia Ministry from Accra, led by Brother Michael Kra Gyamera were invited and they spent a week teaching and praying for and with the participants.
The latter expressed joy and gratitude for all the knowledge they have acquired so far, and the Vicariate team in their turn are happy with the progress of the Seminar so far and hope for a successful ending.
The team from Accra were led in a tour around Donkorkrom by the local Charismatic team, and among the places they visited were Holy Rosary School, Donkorkrom and the Community of the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary, in Donkorkrom.
