St. Augustine’s College in Cape Coast gathered at St. Paul’s Methodist Church on December 4, 2024, to honor the life of Achilles Cobbina, a 14-year-old first-year student who passed away on November 26, just three weeks after beginning his journey at the school.
The solemn ceremony drew dignitaries including the college’s Headmaster, Rev. Fr. Dr. Patrick Appiah, as well as teaching staff, students, and representatives from Achilles’ preparatory school, SAMROSE.
Rev. Godfred Kingsley Gyebi-Arthur, who delivered the farewell message, reflected on the purpose of life’s events, affirming that Achilles had fulfilled his earthly mission.
In a message delivered by Rev. Godfred Kingsley Gyebi-Arthur, Minister of the Assemblies of God church in Cape Coast, He emphasized that there is a purpose for everything that happens in life and that Achilles had fulfilled his work on earth.
The ceremony concluded with the St. Augustine’s College community singing the college anthem to bid farewell to their beloved student and colleague.
