This year’s graduation was held reflecting on the theme – “Celebrating Catholic Education: Transitioning to Global Relevance”, which brought together faculty, families, church leaders and invited guests to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class.

The graduates represented various disciplines including Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, and Religious Studies and Church Administration.
Among the 52 graduates, one achieved First Class Honours, 17 graduated with Second Class Upper Division, 31 with Second Class Lower Division, and three with a Third Class.

Special awards were also presented to deserving students who excelled in academics and leadership, reflecting CIBT’s values to encourage excellence and holistic formation.
Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Emmanuel Maclean Ofori, Assistant Manager of Compliance at SSNIT, urged the graduates to demonstrate integrity, creativity and adaptability in the global job market.

He emphasised that the values instilled through Catholic education would remain their strongest asset in navigating the competitive world of work.
He further encouraged the graduating class to see themselves as ambassadors of both the Institute and the Catholic tradition of excellence, noting that their success in various fields would be a testimony to the quality of education they had received.

Mr. Mark Andoh-Owusu, Acting President of CIBT, in an address commended the graduates for their resilience and dedication, especially during challenging academic years, and expressed gratitude to parents and lecturers for their support.
He added, “ Soon, you will proudly join the ranks of the alumni of CIBT. I urge you all to remain connected and build a strong alumni network, one that will not only support each other but will also contribute to making your alma mater even better and stronger for future generations.”

He also revealed that the institute had finalized a merger with the Catholic University of Ghana, Fiapre, a move that will expand the range of courses offered and strengthen partnerships with other leading universities in the country.
The ceremony concluded with words of encouragement from the Guests to the graduates to become leaders of change in society while upholding the values of service, professionalism and faith.
