All Parishes in the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra are set to launch the Maiden Rosary Congress, scheduled to take place from the 16th to 18th of October, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cantonments.

In a letter addressed to all Priests, Religious, and Lay Faithful, the Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, has expressed his joy in inviting the entire Archdiocese to participate fully in this significant event.

He stated, “This Congress forms part of our Jubilee Year celebrations and is an opportunity for the entire People of God- Priests, Religious, and Laity to unite in prayer, deepen our devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and seek God’s grace for our Church, our nation, and the whole world.”

The Maiden Rosary Congress in Accra will feature various spiritual activities, including Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, talks on the Holy Rosary and the Blessed Virgin Mary, personal testimonies on the power of the Rosary, and a Rosary Procession.

Archbishop Kwofie has encouraged all parishes, societies, and individuals to engage fully in the preparations for the Congress and has requested all Parish Priests to officially launch the Congress on Sunday, September 14, and take a second collection to support the organization of the event.

Additionally, he noted, “If possible, bus their parishioners where necessary”, urging Parish Priests to consider providing transportation for their parishioners to attend.
