Past students of OLA Girls’ Senior High School, Ho, under the Past OLA Girls Association (POGA), will join their brothers of the Bishop Herman Old Boys Union [BHOBU] for the BHOBU-POGA GLOBAL HEALTH WALK on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
The nationwide walk, themed “Walk Together, Live Better. Inspire Change,” will take place simultaneously in Accra, Kpando, Ho, Hohoe, Kumasi, Tamale, and the Diaspora. It serves as the official fitness build-up to BHOBU Games 26, scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

A Legacy of BHOBU-POGA
Bishop Herman College, an all-boys Catholic Category ‘A’ school founded in 1952 on the Akpini Hills in Kpando, and OLA Girls, an all-girls Catholic Category ‘A’ school in Ho, share a decades-long “sibling” alliance known as *BHOBU-POGA* or BHOLA.

Celebrated as the Volta Region’s most iconic school romance, the bond spans joint Thanksgiving masses, SRC Week celebrations, community projects, and active global alumni chapters.

“This walk is more than exercise. It is wellness in action,” said Patricia Norvisi Gbologah, a POGA 2005. “We are stepping out together to prioritise our health, strengthen our sisterhood, and build momentum for the BHOBU Games in September 2026.”
Health, Unity, Impact
The walk is anchored on four pillars: _Improve Your Health, Build Community, Make a Global Impact, and One Step at a Time_.
Organisers are calling on all _Precious Gems_ to turn out in their numbers, wear comfortable walking gear, and represent OLA Girls with pride in their respective zones as they support their BHOBU Brothers.

From Ho to Kpando, Accra to the Diaspora, POGA is ready. The question is: Are you walking with us?
