The Hagar Darkey Ministries, a humanitarian outreach team, has marked Christmas with a donation to residents in the Bowiri-Kordzi Electoral Area of the Biakoye District in the Oti Region.
Residents, including the aged, also benefitted from a free health screening.
Mrs. Hagar Darkey, Founder of the Group speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the support was to share the little they had with the residents.
The team donated clothes, hand sanitisers, soaps, footwear, nose masks, food items and medicines for those screened.
Mrs. Darkey said the need for a healthy life brought the Team to the District.
She said the team also came to nourish the spiritual side of the residents and share the word of God with them with love.
Mrs. Darkey expressed gratitude to the local authorities, Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited, Royal House Chapel-Michel Camp Assembly, volunteers, health workers, corporate and individuals for their support towards a successful event.
She said she expected that the coming years would be better with a healthy life to reach out to many more.
Mr. Jones Mawuli Peni, Assemblyman, Bowiri-Kordzi Electoral Area, said they were very happy to receive the Team and grateful for all they gave to the residents.
Mr. Peni appealed to other benevolent organisations to emulate the Team’s kind support.
