The 13th Pan African Assembly of IMCS Pax Romana Africa Region is underway at the Demesse Sisters Centre, Karen in Nairobi, Kenya.
The assembly which commenced on December 10 is expected to end on December 16, 2023. The Pan African Assembly which is the highest decision-making body of the IMCS Pax Romana African Region is held every four years.
This year’s Assembly is on the theme ‘Celebrating the journey of IMCS in the Youth transformation and innovation across Africa within the context and impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic’.
IMCS Pax Romana Ghana Federation was represented at the Assembly by its National Coordinator and General Secretary of Ghana National Catholic Youth Council (GHANCYC) – Dennis Appiah-Sasraku and immediate past National President – Albert Bandoh. Also present from Ghana as a facilitator was a former National Coordinator of Ghana who also served as a Pan African Coordinator between 2007 – 2011 – Mr. Aaron Fenu.
The Assembly is also honoured with the presence of the International President and Chaplain of IMCS Pax Romana – Ravi Tissera and Rev. Fr. Jojo Fung SJ and the Coordinator of IMCS Pax Romana Asia Pacific Region – William Nokrek.
Physically present at the Assembly are representatives from Ghana, Togo, Uganda, Kenya, Senegal, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Ethiopia, DR Congo, Zimbabwe. But some other countries joined online via zoom.
The Assembly is being organized by the Pan African Office of the IMCS Pax Romana under the Leadership of its Coordinators Fasika Lachore Laba and Aurelie Monganzibi.
