The Christian Mothers Association of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, has elected new officers for a three-year term at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church Parish Hall, Community 2, Tema.
The event saw an overwhelming turnout of 113 Mothers who made their voices heard in the democratic process.
Mother Eunice Kokui Dumashie was re-elected to serve the next three years as President of the Association, maintaining the progress and leadership she demonstrated over the past three years.
She remains a firm and visionary leader, committed to guiding the Christian Mothers towards unity, love, and the fulfillment of the Association’s mission.
In her acceptance speech, Mother Eunice expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her, saying, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
In addition to Mother Eunice, other key executives were re-elected to continue their roles for the upcoming term. They are Mother Agnes Tweneboa-Kodua, Financial Secretary; Mother Beatrice Senyo, Protocol; and Mother Regina Moore, Chaplain.
The newly elected executives are Mother Erica Adu-Poku, 1st Vice President from Madina Deanery; Mother Rita Quarshie, 2nd Vice President from Kpehe Deanery; Mother Mary Ganaah, Secretary, Osu Deanery; Mother Frances Nathan-Mensah, Assistant Secretary, Mamprobi Deanery; Mother Mavis Sekley, Treasurer from Kaneshie, Mother Beatrice Senyo, Protocol Officer, from Ashaiman Deanery; and Mother Regina Moore, Chaplain, with Mother Anna Mensah remaining as advisor, who will serve alongside Mother Eunice to ensure a stable and effective leadership team.
Under Mother Eunice’s leadership, the Christian Mothers Association has achieved significant milestones. One of her key accomplishments was the establishment of an office at the Holy Spirit Cathedral, Adabraka in Accra, to handle administrative duties and facilitate the sale of regalia.
She also played a pivotal role in the printing and unveiling of the Archdiocesan cloth, a symbol of unity and faith for the Association. Additionally, her commitment to charity is reflected in the donations she led mothers to make to flood victims in Mepe, the Sowutuom seminary, children’s homes, and individuals in need.
Throughout her tenure, Mother Eunice has consistently upheld the virtues of Mother Mary, emphasizing unity, accountability, and service.
As she is voted to serve the next three years, she has promised to continue fostering a spirit of unity, love, and understanding among the members, always guiding them in executing the mission and vision of the Association for the greater glory of God.
The election process was overseen by the Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Acheampong, who provided valuable guidance to the mothers and ensured a smooth and transparent process. The election team, led by Lawyer Kwesi Fynn and supported by Mr. Magnus Wiedong, Mother Lydia Antonio, and Mother Irene Lartey, was commended for their professionalism and the smooth execution of the electoral process.
The Parish Priest of Good Shepherd Catholic Church also congratulated the mothers for their active participation and encouraged them to continue their efforts in supporting the growth and development of the Association.
