The Accra East Grand Commandery and Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John International successfully held their 6th and 5th Biennial Grand Convention under the theme: “The Knight and Lady: Pilgrims of Hope on a Journey Towards Rediscovering the Self and the Relationship with God and Creation.”
The four-day convention took place from 31st July to August 3, 2025 at the Windy Beach Resort and Conference Center, Winneba, drawing Knights and Ladies from across the Grand for a period of spiritual renewal, leadership transition, and fraternal celebration.
The programme began on Friday with a solemn Memorial Mass in honour of all fallen Brothers and Sisters of the Order, followed by the Official Opening Ceremony, which featured an inspiring keynote address delivered by Sir Major General Prof. Sir Justice Dennis Dominic Adjei, who served as Guest Speaker.

Dignitaries and senior officers of the Order who graced the occasion included, Brigadier-General Samuel Baimbill-Johnson, Grand President, Accra East Grand Commandery, N/S Margaret Mary Palmer-Buckle, Grand President, Accra East Grand Ladies’ Auxiliary, Major General William Edmund Nii-Okang Adjei, Supreme Subordinate President, Brigadier-General Blaise Yaovi Ameyapoh, Grand President, Lomé East Grand Commandery, Togo, Brigadier-General Emmanuel Plange, Past Grand President, Brigadier-General Anthony Chinebuah, Past Grand President, Lt. Gen. Joseph W. Biney, Past Grand President, N/S Eugenia Ekua Enyimayew, Supreme Ladies’ Auxiliary 2nd Vice President, Past Supreme Subordinate President & Past Grand President, N/S Emma Ethel Asomani, Supreme Subordinate 1st Vice President & Past Grand President and N/S Dadzie, Past Grand President.
A key highlight of the convention was the peaceful election and installation of new officers, who have been entrusted with steering the affairs of the Grand in the next biennium.

At the close of the Convention, a comprehensive resolution, capturing the key decisions and commitments made during the gathering, was read and presented by the Resolution Committee.
The event was officially brought to a close with a dinner on Saturday evening, providing members the opportunity to celebrate, network, and reflect on the achievements of the convention.
The Accra East Grand Commandery and Ladies’ Auxiliary have extended their heartfelt gratitude to all delegates, dignitaries, and supporters for their participation and contributions toward the success of the Convention.
