I happened to join my Community at Akweteman, Immaculate Conception Church in the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra to pray and thank God with them on December 31St Night, 2024 and1St January, 2025.
I rarely visit Akweteman Catholic Community, even though that was where I worshiped before going to the Convent to become a Nun.
Seeing old faces has filled my heart with joy and a glowing spirit as I recalled fond memories of singing, dancing and participating in intercessory prayers by the Charismatic Renewal Group; most of all, the small agapes often held by the Renewal group.
After Mass on January 1, 2025, the Knights and Ladies of the Altar and their patrons visited one of their Patrons, who is now old and indisposed and could not come to Church.
My spiritual mother, Maa Ceci, as I affectionately call her, was filled with joy when she saw the Mass Servers, their Patrons and the two Priests in Charge of the Parish, Fr. John Newman Tetefio and Fr. Terrence Adzima.
The two Priests prayed for Maa Ceci and wished her good health for the year. They both layed hands on her and blessed her.
As a gesture of love, the Mass Servers presented a hamper and an envelope to Maa Ceci as a way of being grateful to God for her life; and wished her God’s blessing for the year.
