Plans are well underway for the grand inauguration of the Anyaa-Sowutuom branch of the Millennium Supporters Union of Ghana (MISUGHA) on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Antie Aku Astro Turf Park in the Ga Central Municipality, Greater Accra Region.
The event is scheduled to start at 3:00 pm and will be attended by some distinguished guests along with approximately 200 Union members from other branches in Accra.
Expected guests include Hon. Emmanuel Adotey Allotey, Chief Executive of Ga Central Municipal Assembly; Hon Moses Kabu Kubi Ocansey, Chief Executive of Ga South Municipal Assembly; Hon. Yibor Awuku Isaac, Member of Parliament for Domeabra Obom; Mr. ABBEAM DANSO, CEO of ABBEAM Group of Companies; Alhaji Polo, President of Ghana Supporters Union; Abulious, National President of Millennium Supporters Union, and sports enthusiasts from all over Accra will also be present.
With the motto: MISUGHA- THE GREAT…MISUGHA – NO CHALLENGER -…MISUGHA – YES WE CAN, the Union is a dedicated group committed to supporting the national soccer teams. It is one of the leading supporter groups in Ghana that attends nearly every sporting event, both domestically and internationally, to back Ghanaian athletes.
The Union has numerous branches across Accra and the country, including the yet-to-be-inaugurated Anyaa-Sowutuom branch, which has about 150 members.
In an interview with Newswatchgh.com during its August 23, 2025, meeting at the Ga Central Municipal Assembly, the Chairman of the Anyaa-Sowutuom branch, Mr. Jacob Ametonu, stated that the branch was ready to host the inauguration to strengthen the Union in the Greater Accra Region and at the national level.
He noted that the Anyaa-Sowutuom branch comprises highly dedicated members who actively participate in all activities at the regional and national levels.
He also expressed gratitude to the Greater Accra Regional and National executives for their unwavering support in ensuring the inauguration of the Anyaa-Sowutuom branch on August 30.
“I plead with all members of the Anyaa-Sowutuom branch to avail themselves for the inauguration so that we can continuously support regional and national activities,” he emphasized.
