Must read

The Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, C.S.Sp., has announced new priestly appointments within the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen pastoral administration and specialized ministry across the Archdiocese.

In a document dated January 2, 2026, addressed to all priests of the Archdiocese, the Archbishop disclosed that the appointments are for a five-year term.

Under the new appointments, Rev. Fr. John Patrick Tindana has been named Chancellor and Archivist of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra. In this role, Fr. Tindana will oversee the official records, archives, and canonical documentation of the Archdiocese, a responsibility central to the effective governance and historical preservation of the local Church.

Additionally, Rev. Fr. David Amissah Andoh has been appointed Chaplain to the Battor Catholic Hospital in Battor. His new assignment places him at the heart of the Church’s healing ministry, where he would provide spiritual care, pastoral support, and sacramental services to patients, healthcare workers, and families within the hospital community.

Congratulating the priests on their new roles, Archbishop Kwofie assured them of his prayers and support as they take up these important responsibilities in service to God’s people.

The Archdiocese has also called on the clergy and the faithful to remember the newly appointed priests in prayer, asking for God’s grace, wisdom, and strength as they begin their ministries.
