The book, Dreamers and Doers: Six Habits of Relentless Achievers, is the second major publication of James Elorm Atsu Kwame Dunyo, a Theology Four Seminarian of the St. Peter’s Regional Seminary, Pedu, Cape Coast, from the Catholic Diocese of Keta-Akatsi. The first, titled “The 52 Golden Nuggets: Weekly Lessons for Weekly People (2021)”, is also a motivational book.
Dreamers and Doers: Six Habits of Relentless Achievers is a 97-page book of 6 concise and precise chapters that unveil 6 “life-changing habits that define those who rise above obstacles and succeed against the odds” (from the Blurb). Calling every potential human achiever a “Dreamer-Doer” or “Dreamers and Doers,” the book encourages all to abandon wishful thinking and embrace committed building (cf. the Afterword).
Dunyo’s work, making “a significant contribution to human development” (Fr. Dr. Okine-Quartey), is about “the alchemy – the secret process of turning the leaden weight of a dream into the gold of a reality lived” (from the Foreword).
Every chapter has a heading, a quote to match, a chapter titbit (on its respective title pages), as well as hymns, stories, prayers, action or practical steps, lessons, questions, tips, and exercises, among others. The 6 chapters are respectively named: (1) “Keep Growing”, (2) “Decide with Clarity”, (3) “Remember to Advance”, (4) “Stay the Course”, (5) “Dream and Do”, and (6) “Be Trained”.
