Caritas Ghana will launch its Strategic Framework for 2025-2030 at the Caritas Ghana Donors’ Conference tomorrow, 20th August, 2025, at the GNAT Hostel in Accra.
The launch of this Strategic Framework aims to unite government officials, diplomatic missions, development partners, Catholic donor agencies, and private sector representatives to discuss collaborative opportunities to support vulnerable communities across Ghana.
In a press release dated 18th August, 2025 and signed by Richard Akurugu, Executive Director of Caritas Ghana, he emphasized the importance of the new framework.
He said, “The launch of this Strategic Framework marks a new chapter in our journey. It is designed to strengthen accountability, deliver measurable impact, and ensure that every partnership with Caritas Ghana brings value for money and lasting change.”
The Strategic Framework outlines six priority areas including Institutional Development and Accountability, Sustainable Livelihoods, Environment and Climate Action, Peacebuilding and Governance, Emergency Response, and Social Services in Health and Education which align with Ghana’s national development agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The conference will allow for both in-person and virtual participation, facilitating a wide-ranging dialogue among local and international stakeholders.
Mr. Akurugu added, “As a member of the global Caritas Confederation, the organization brings international expertise and innovation, while maintaining deep community roots through diocesan and parish structures nationwide.”
Caritas Ghana, the development and humanitarian arm of the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference is an organization grounded in Catholic Social Teaching that operates in all 16 regions of Ghana, delivering integrated programs focused on livelihoods, governance, peacebuilding, education, health, environment, and humanitarian response.
