The Council of Catholic Professionals’ Guilds (CCPG) has extended invitation to all Catholic Professionals in the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra to a Thanksgiving Mass on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the St. Theresa Catholic Church, Kaneshie, Accra at 6:00pm.
The hundreds of Catholic Professionals in Accra are expected to fully, actively and consciously participate in a Thanksgiving Mass to express gratitude to God as professionals and for seeing them through another very challenging year, delivering them from COVID-19 and for the healing mercy on the Archbishop of Accra.
They are also being invited to the Mass which would offer them the opportunity to network and fraternise.
The yearly Mass is being organised by the CCPG under the auspices of the Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp, who would preside over the Mass and concelebrated by the Vicar General of Accra, Very Rev. Fr. John Louis and all Chaplains of the various Guilds.
Special Guest at the Mass would be Mr. Martin Kpebu Esq., Legal Practitioner and Rights. Activist.
Professional Guilds to attend the Mass include Catholic Association of Media Practitioners, Health Guild, Built and Environment Guild, Hospitality Guild, Business Management and Finance Guild, Security Guild, Aviation, Maritime and Ports Guild and the Legal Guild.
In 2009, the Archdiocese of Accra held a Synod during which a plethora of issues were discussed and addressed. One of the Acts of the Synod advocated the revamping of existing Professional Guilds and the propagation of new ones to encompass all Catholic Professionals.
