Catholics in Accra Urged to Intensify Prayers for Indisposed Archbishop
Catholics in the Archdiocese of Accra have been urged to Pray for the speedy recovery of the Local Ordinary, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, who fell ill few days ago.
“Our Dear Archbishop, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie fell ill a few days ago. He is however responding to treatment well, a statement to all Priests, Religious and Laity mentioned.
The July 20 Statement issued by Very Rev. Fr. John Kobina Louis, the Vicar General was read during Anticipatory Masses in some Parishes on Saturday, July 25, 2020. It is also expected to be read in all Parishes on Sunday, July 26, 2020.
“Let us all pray fervently and offer Masses for his speedy and full recovery,” the statement said.
It added that the Archbishop “needs a lot of rest to aid his recovery, so no visits to him are allowed now.”
According to the statement, messages of speedy recovery could be sent to the Archbishop through Parish Priests or Priests in charge and such messages will be delivered to him by his Secretary or his Vicar General.
