The Christian Mothers’ Association on Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026, made its missionary visit to St. Gregory the Great Major Seminary, during which 45 seminarians were initiated into the society.
The visit was held under the theme “Mothers in Mission: Palm Sunday Outreach,” aimed at strengthening the CMA’s apostolic support for seminarians through annual encounters, donations, and breakfast receptions.
Led by Mother Hannah Essuman, National President and Kumasi Provincial President of the Christian Mothers’ Association, she encouraged the seminarians to remain rooted in prayer and faithful to their formation.

She said, “The people of God will expect you to be men of prayer, men of integrity, men of humility, and men of compassion. They will come to you not only in their moments of celebration but also in times of pain, confusion, and spiritual searching.”
Mother Hannah Essuman, during her speech, also advised the seminarians to respect their formators, adding that “the priesthood is not a position of honour but a life of sacrifice, service, and total dedication to God and His people.”
She assured the seminarians of the association’s continuous prayers, encouragement, and maternal support as they journey toward the priesthood.

The Christian Mothers Association, during their visit, donated food items worth GH¢10,000, comprising bags of rice, maize, beans, tubers of yams, tomato puree, oil, and other food items.
The delegation in attendance included Mother Dame Augustina P. Boachie, the 4th National President of CMA, Mother Patience Fosu, CMA National 1st Vice President and Diocesan President for Sunyani Diocese, Mother Mary Magdalene Taaere, CMA National Treasurer and President for Techiman Diocese, Mother Rosemond Owusu Mensah, CMA President for Obuasi Diocese, Mother Rose Koranteng, CMA President for Konongo-Mampong Diocese, Mother Margaret Dagadu, CMA President for Goaso Diocese, and the CMA Kumasi Archdiocesan Executives.
