Madam Dora Tempoah, Deputy Director of Education in charge of Finance and Administration for Kwahu Afram Plains North District, in Ghana’s Eastern Region has paid a working visit to Holy Rosary School in Donkorkrom during which she encouraged the first Batch of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Candidates learn hard so that they come out with flying colours.
During her visit on June 20, 2024, barely two weeks to the (BECE), she urged the Candidates to study very hard to make a name for Holy Rosary School, being its very first batch, saying that “If Holy Rosary will make a name, it starts from you; you will be that name”.
She called the attention of the students to the fact that being the first batch, the hopes of the school and stakeholders rest on them, therefore they must study hard to achieve their aims and make everyone proud.
Madam Tempoah underlined the fact that the aspirations of the pupils to become doctors, engineers and a lot more would only be realised through hard work. So, whether there is a teacher in class or not, they must study.
She added that “You know what you wish for yourself, so work towards it. Don’t say you are so young; it starts from now, even it starts from the KG.”
Visiting the School for the very first time, she expressed admiration for the spacious and beautiful scenery of the school with its nice structures, and thanked the administration for the great work put in.
Sr. Stella Nwosu, MSHR, Headmistress of the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary owned School, was delighted for the visit, and on behalf of the school thanked the GES team for their thoughtfulness and encouraging words, especially to their BECE Candidates.
The Deputy Director was accompanied by two other Staff from the Ghana Education Service (GES), Donkorkrom, namely: Mr. Akuamoah Danso, Coordinator of Private Schools in the District and Mr. Wiafe, Budget Officer.
