Disregard Video Clip Claiming I Participated in a Meeting to Resolve Ga-Mantse Chieftaincy Issues – Archb. Palmer-Buckle

Must read

The Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle, Catholic Archbishop of Cape Coast has asked Ghanaians to disregard claims contained in a video clip titled ‘Omanye Aba’, aired on TV Africa  which claims that he has been involved in meetings to resolve the Ga Mantse Chieftaincy issues.

In a Rejoinder issued on April 24, 2020, he debunked the video clip which claimed that he (Archbishop Palmer-Buckle) participated in a meeting at Peduase with other “eminent personalities” for “two days” aimed at resolving the Ga Mantse Chieftaincy dispute.

He categorically stated in the Rejoinder made available to newswatchgh.com that “I have been compelled to state categorically that I, Charles G. Palmer-Buckle was never at any such meeting.”

He added: ” I would, therefore, like to have the records of history set right and my purported presence at the meeting also corrected immediately by the Quarters from which such a  wrong statement was made. I was never present at any such meeting.”

However, he noted that “I have been involved in trying to find a peaceful solution to the Ga Mantse Chieftaincy issues, and I am still willing and ready to offer my services, if and when needed as a Ga-nyo…to find a lasting solution to the Ga Mantse Chieftaincy issues.”
