Eucharistic Spirituality Seminars in Accra Commence Today June 5

The Catholic Archdiocese of Accra has announced an outline of seminars focused on Eucharistic Spirituality, scheduled from today June 5 to Saturday, June 7, 2025.

These seminars will be led by Rev. Fr. Anthony Parankimalil, VC, a Priest from the United Kingdom who is known for his ministry to deepening the understanding and love of the Holy Eucharist.

In a letter signed by the Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp, Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, he noted that these seminars will be a “rare opportunity to grow deeper in our faith and appreciation for the Eucharist which is the source and summit of our Christian life.”

 

The seminars will be held for various groups within the Archdiocese with the schedule for the seminars is as follows:

A session for Priests and religious from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Holy Spirit Cathedral on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

Separate sessions for Catholic women at 9:30 AM and Catholic men at 7:00 PM, both at the Holy Spirit Cathedral on Friday, June 6, 2025.

A morning session for Catholic youth at the University of Ghana Catholic Chaplaincy at 8:00 AM, followed by a First Saturday Grotto session at Christ the King Grotto at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

Archbishop Kwofie has encouraged all Priests, Religious and Lay people to participate actively in these sessions.

In his letter dated May 21, 2025, he emphasised the importance of coming together in faith to encounter the living Christ through the Eucharist.
