Must read

The Most Rev. John Kobina Louis, Auxiliary Bishop of Accra has called on the Knights and Ladies Auxiliary of St. John International to focus on evangelization especially to the youth in the church.

He said this during the celebration of Noble Sister Eugenia Ekua Enyimayew as the 2nd Vice President of the Supreme Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John International.

According to him, due to the dwindling Catholic population in Ghana, it is important that Knights and Ladies of St. John International focus on the evangelization to prevent the loss of members in the Church.

He said, “ We have heard that our numbers somehow; Catholics in Ghana are going a bit down. It means you have to do more of reaching out.”

He emphasized the importance of training the young in the church, especially the Juniors and Cadets in the Order so as to grow and stay firm as Catholics wherever they find themselves.

“ The other aspect is more of nurturing the young ones. The arrangement of KSJ, you have a youth wing so you have to look more at the programs you run for them so that when they are in the universities and other tertiary institutions, they will remain solid as Catholics and as KSJI members so that they take over in the future,” he said.

Most Rev. Louis also encouraged sisters to walk in the footsteps of Noble Sister Eugenia Ekua Enyimayew in order for them to also achieve the success she has attained.

He said, “ where she has reached if you also dedicate your life and if you also aspire towards it, at the appropriate time, we will gather like this to also sing your praises and thanksgiving to God”.

Noble Sister Eugenia Ekua Enyimayew was initiated into the Ladies Auxiliary on June 04, 1977 at St Bernadette Auxiliary #325, Accra. She transferred to Immaculate Heart of Mary Auxiliary# 360, Adabraka in February 1983 as a founding member.
