Four HHCJ Temporary Professed Sisters Renew Vows

Must read

Four Temporary Professed Sisters renewed their vows at the Novitiate of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus (HHCJ) on August 22, 2024 at Nsoatre-Sunyani, Ghana.

In a homily by Rev. Fr. Solomon Dasanko Kabreyang, he said “Anytime we make a step to renew, it is always a personal decision”. The Christian life is an open invitation to come to the groom. We are the bride.

This analogy according to Fr.  Kabreyang, finds its roots to religious life where the Sister is the bride of Christ, adding that it was essential to keep renewing their commitment to Christ.

“We stand to renew not because everything is okay but our sign of commitment to God and their readiness to continue to follow Chris amidst challenges including suffering,” he noted.

According to the Priest, God rewards those who step forward to renew by purifying them thereby giving them a new heart and prayed that God himself would strengthen the Sisters and renew them in his service.

The main celebrant for the Mass was Fr. Robert Kuuyouo Dery who hails from the Catholic Diocese of Wa together with Fr.  Kabreyang.
