The Ho Diocesan Youth Council on Sunday 26th September 2021 induct into office new youth leaders for the Catholic Youth in the Ho Diocese.
The newly inducted executives include Mr. Fred Adzakpa as Chairman, Miss Esther Katsriku as Vice Chairperson, Mr. Kwame Orlando Daniel as Secretary.
Other officers are Mr. Happy Xatse as Financial Secretary, Mr. Innocent Torbizo as the Organizer and Miss Orku Janet as the Treasurer.
The Diocesan Catholic Youth Organisation also inducted Diocesan officers into office.
The officers include Senior Crusader Patrick Youngs as Diocesan chairman, Senior Crusader Christopher Tsormana Vice-chairperson, Senior Crusader Rita Marley Klutse Financial Secretary.
Other Officers include Senior Crusader Ruth Jane Patapah, Senior Crusader Thomas Nimo Asamoah, Senior Crusader Sylvanus Afun, Senior Crusader Alphonse Osoh and Senior Crusader John Ignatius Bludo.
Rev. Fr. Fidelis Kumado, the Diocesan Chaplain in his homily advised the newly inducted officers to allow God to use them for the task ahead.
” As a leader you don’t know everything allow for advice and criticisms from your followers”
He urged them to always be truthful to the youth body as leadership is a sacrificial job.
” Share responsibilities, take advice and you shall succeed as leaders.
Fred Adzakpa, the Ho Diocesan Chairman on behalf of the inducted officers was grateful to the Chaplain and council members for electing them to lead the youth in the Diocese. He promised to respect the leadership of the church and the constitution of HODYC.
He urged all youth in the Diocese that the leaders will continue to build on the strong foundation laid down by the previous executives and served as mouthpieces for all Catholic youths, strengthen the various youth groups under the Diocesan Youth Council and help the youth to grow spiritually, morally and intellectually.
Fred Adzakpa Diocesan Chairman, charged the congregation to support the council to own a youth center and a bus for effective organisation of programmes in the various deaneries and the Diocese.
