The St. Anthony Commandery No. 405 of the Knights of St John International (KSJI) has launched its 50th Anniversary Celebration with the unveiling of its logo at the Our Lady of Mercy (OLAM) Catholic Church, Tema Community One on July 17 ,2022.
The year-long celebration is under the theme “Celebrating 50 years of Knighthood in Tema, our story and its impact on the Church and Society”
Speaking at the launch, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Brigadier General Anthony Chinebuah, said the objective of the Noble Order was to honour, defend, promote and live the Catholic faith, encourage and assist individual members to develop spiritually, prepare them for the apostolate and assist members in time of need.
“The objective of the Noble Order was to honor, defend, promote and live the Catholic faith, encourage and assist individual members to develop spiritually, prepare them for the apostolate and assist members in times of need,” he said.
He added that the Noble Order had contributed immensely towards the growth of the Catholic Church both spiritual and materially.
According to Brigadier Gen. Chinebuah, “The use of social enterprise is a key measure to help fight many social vices and to bring the youth to Christ. The provision of such services in the various religious organizations in a friendly manner without compromising will ensure a bright future for young people.”
Present at the launch and unveiling of the logo were Grand Officers from Accra East Grand Commandery and representative from Commanderies and Auxiliaries within the 5th District Commandery and Accra East District 2 Ladies Auxiliary.
