Rev. Fr. Eric Donaldson Kwarshie, the Rector of St. Paul’s Minor Seminary and the Priest-in-charge of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Denu-Hatsukope in the Keta-Akatsi Diocese, has urged the members of the Legion of Mary Confraternity to hold fast to the Rosary as their spiritual weapon.
Making the call during the annual Acies of the Confraternity at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at Denu-Hatsukope on March 26, 2023, he asked them to be active and dedicated members of the Confraternity and challenged them to take up their responsibilities of visitation and evangelization work seriously.
Mr. Paul Yegbe, the Diocesan President of Legion of Mary reminded the Legionaries of their role of supporting the Priests in their ministry.
He encouraged the members to talk about the Confraternity and make their works visible for many people to join.
The porogramme was preceded with Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Samuel Pius Agbeyesroe, the Chaplain of St. Catherine Girls Secondary School, Agbakope and concelebrated by Fr. Kwarshie.
Eighteen new members make their promises and old members renewed their dedication to Mother Mary. This activities were preceded by praying of the Rosary and the Catena.
Present at the celebration were Rev Fr. Oscar Whoknows Kuebutornye, the Chaplain of St. Paul’s Minor Seminary and Secondary School, Sr. Patience Monica Akpandza, SMMC, a teacher at St. Catherine Girls Secondary School, Sr. Agnes Mercy Nyatsoe, SMMC, the In-charge of OLA Boarding House-Keta, the Legionaries from St. Catherine and OLA RC CONVENT GIRLS BASIC School, and the Legionaries from the various parishes of the Diocese.
