Mahama Government Prioritizes Primary Health Care – Says Dep. NHIA CEO at Alakple Easter

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Senanu Dzokoto, has reaffirmed the Mahama administration’s commitment to providing accessible primary health care to communities across the country.

Speaking at the grand durbar of the chiefs and people of Alakple in the Anloga District on Saturday April 19, 2025, the Deputy CEO emphasised that the government of President John Mahama is working diligently to ensure that all citizens benefit from quality health care services, especially at the grassroots level.

He revealed that the NHIA is focused on ensuring prompt payments to health facilities under the scheme to enhance service delivery.

He also mentioned the Mahama Cares fund, an initiative aimed at supporting individuals battling chronic diseases.

Addressing the youth, Dr. Dzokoto encouraged them to actively participate in community development efforts and also advised them to stay clear of hard drugs and urged them to show respect to the elderly in their communities.
