Marshallans Hand Over 3-Unit Classroom Block to Dzolo Community

Council 115 and Court 110 of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, Airport West-Accra have handed over a completed 3-unit classroom block to the Dzolo community in the Ho Diocese.

The Marshallans, on December 18, 2022 joined the faithful of St. Anthony’s Parish in Dzolo for the commissioning handing over ceremonies.

The project is made up of a 3-unit kindergarten classroom block with teachers’ common room and washroom.

The project was initiated by Rev. Fr. Samuel Eco Kornu, Communication Director for the Ho Diocese some five years ago when he saw the need to put up a pavilion for the KG Pupils who study in the Chapel.

It was however adopted by the Noble Order of Knights and Ladies of Marshall council 115 and court 110 Accra in March 2022.

The immediate Grand Knight and Noble Lady of the council and Court in their remarks thanked the Dzolo community for their commitment to the project.

They also thanked persons who contributed toward this successful completion of the school project which lasted for 8 months.

 

According to the Order, education is a key tool for national development. Hence, the need to give the community a well-defined structure that will aid in teaching and learning to help develop the human resource of the area which is one of the core values of the Catholic Education Unit.

The project forms part of their annual charity work which they embark on.

For his part, Fr. Samuel Eco Kornu charged the teachers, pupils and the Dzolo community to put the facility to good use. While noting that the structure can be used as a hall to generate income which should then be used to keep the place in good shape.
