Noble Sister Eugenia Ekua Enyimayew has hosted a Thanksgiving mass to celebrate her new role as the 2nd Vice President of the Supreme Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights and Ladies of St. John International.

The Mass took place in her Parish, Corpus Christi Catholic Church at Sakumono on January 19, 2025.

This brought together the Supreme Subordinate President, Grand Presidents and officers, District Presidents and officers, Commandery and Ladies Auxiliary Presidents and officers, Brothers and Sisters of the Knights and Ladies of St. John International, friends from the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, family, friends and well wishers who came to show support and appreciation to Noble Sister Eugenia Ekua Enyimayew for her leadership.

During the Mass, Very Rev. Fr. (Col) Benjamin K. Ohene, Supreme Subordinate Commandery Chaplain and Headmaster of Pope John Senior High and Minor Seminary in Koforidua, in his homily, commended Noble Sister Eugenia for the “honor and responsibility imposed on her by God”.

He acknowledged her service to the order, stating her commitment to the order from the grassroots to this high position.

He said, “You have risen from the grassroots to the top. It was not just because of your beauty, of your smiling but because people saw your history and what you have done. You have served Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary. Indeed you are a lady and may you continue to be a lady as God has raised you to be”.

Fr. Benjamin also encouraged her to make use of the many gifts given to her by God and advised sisters of the order to encourage her to use those gifts.

“ You have many gifts. You may be aware of the gifts God has given you or you may not be aware. Sisters tell her if she is not aware. That is the way the spirit works. It is you who can testify . Sister you have this gift, use that gift to edify your family, the church and the order to build the community you find yourself”, he said.

Towards the end of Mass, Noble Sister Eugenia Ekua Enyimayew showed appreciation to all who came to celebrate with her saying, “ Today is a great day. I feel so honored by your presence. I thank you all my dear parishioners and invited guests for your presence, patience and your attention. May God richly bless all of us.”

In appreciation to God, Noble Sister Eugenia Ekua Enyimayew and her family presented an amount of money to support Corpus Christi Catholic Church to order a Roman Catholic missal and a Marriage ritual.

The celebration concluded with a reception at Fountain Head Christian School in Sakumono where Most Rev. John Kobina Louis joined to extend his congratulatory message and encouraged other sisters to look up to her to also achieve such success.

He said, “ I decided to pop in to congratulate you Noble Sister Eugenia, to thank your husband for the support he has been giving you all these years and also to tell the other sisters that where she has reached if you also dedicate your life and if you also aspire towards it, at the appropriate time, we will gather like this to also sing your praises and thanksgiving to God”.
