The leadership of the Osu Deanery Catholic Youth Council has made a monetary donation towards the Legacy of Hope Children’s hospital project of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra.
The donation was made at the end-of-year get-together organised by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra for the Youth Councils in the Archdiocese on Monday, December 26, 2022.
The councillors of the Deanery Youth Council took the opportunity to donate GH¢ 5,000.00 to support the building of the Children’s Hospital which was received by Most. Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp. Archbishop of Archdiocese.
Rev. Fr. Alphonse Bulloro thanked councillors of ODCYC for their kind gesture and charged other deaneries present to reciprocate the kind gesture of ODCYC.
The Archbishop on his part expressed his profound gratitude to the councillors of Osu Deanery Catholic Youth Council for their donations to support the Legacy of Hope project and assured them that the donation will be put to good use.
It can be recalled that earlier this year, the Archbishop together with priests, religious and the lay faithful’s of the Archdiocese launched the Legacy of Hope (LoH) Project to embark on worthy projects that would inspire hope. Earmarked under the umbrella project was the construction of a two (2) million-dollar pediatric hospital at Kwabenya.
At the launch of the project in January, the Archbishop, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie Cssp extended invitations to all and sundry to rally behind and support the project.
Other projects which fall under the Legacy of Hope projects include the completion of the Youth Center, Priests’ Retirement Home, Archdiocesan Secretariat, Completion of the Catechetical Center, Catholic Cemetery, and Cathedral Restoration.
