Rev. Fr. Callistus Baalaboore, MAfr. and Sr. Janis Gbiel, FMM on December 29, 2022 celebrated Silver and Golden Jubilees respectively with a thanksgiving Mass at Karni, an Outstation of Sacred Heart parish Jirapa, to thank to God Almighty for all his blessings in their missions.
Fr. Callistus is currently the Parish Priest of Notre dame D’Afrique at Talo-Atakpame in Togo and the Community Superior and works with Justice and Peace while Sr. Janis is a retired teacher now at the Holy Cross Parish in Tamale. She preaches retreat, workshops and gives spiritual direction.
Many family members and friends were there to support them in prayer, present and presence to show their love for them to continue in spreading the good news in the different places they are being missioned.
They renewed their zeal and vocation to bring God’s kingdom among all people in life.
In a homily, Rev Fr. Conrad Bayor urged families and parents to guide children in their vocation to priesthood and Religious Life to spread the good news, noting, Vocation to the church is a sacrifice from God’s people to spread His love, joy, peace and hope to all.
