SAP’S School in Teshie in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana held an Awards Ceremony at the school premises, SAP’s City, to honour deserving students, staff, parents, and benefactors as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, under the theme “50 Years of Excellence, Navigating the Future.”
The ceremony, held on 28th November 2025, brought together guests, staff, students, former staff, and old students of SAP’s School, who gathered to celebrate five decades of academic excellence and impact.
Awards were presented to the first three best students in each class: KG2, Lower Primary, Upper Primary, and JHS.
Students who excelled in extracurricular activities were also recognized, along with outstanding staff members, dedicated parents, and key stakeholders.

In his welcome address, Mr. Robert Dela Mawuenyegah, Acting Director of DEPSOCOM Accra and an old student of SAP’S School, said, “…we are celebrating not just academic excellence, but extracurricular engagements and the spirit of perseverance, teamwork, and community that defines us.”
He added, “We acknowledge the incredible journey of our children, teachers, staff, parents, and stakeholders.”
The ceremony also featured choreography and xylophone performances, as well as poetry recitals by pupils, adding colour and excitement to the occasion.
SAP’s School is a well-established private basic educational institution noted for its long-standing commitment to “Excellence.”

The school provides education from Crèche to Junior High School (JHS) and is registered with the Ghana Education Service (GES) as a Grade ‘A’ institution.
Founded in 1975 by the late Mrs. Emma Nana Asobu Sapara-Grant, SAP’S School began with just five young children on the porch of her home at the Teshie-Nungua Estates.
The school, however, expanded due to increasing parental demand to include primary and JHS levels, after which it relocated to its current 6.6-acre campus at Greda Estates, Teshie.
Five decades on, SAP’S School has grown into one of the leading basic schools in the area, renowned for its strong academic performance, discipline, and solid Christian upbringing.
The school’s mission is to nurture each child’s potential within a supportive environment, fostering emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and Christian development.
The school also promotes inquiry, creativity, critical thinking, discipline, and strong moral values with well-resourced facilities, including a library, computer laboratory, and sports field.

Over the years, SAP’S School students have excelled in various national competitions, including the Model UN Conference and the Citi FM Literacy Challenge.
The grand durbar to climax the 50th anniversary celebration is scheduled for 6th December 2025.
