Sports Journalist Ernest Buamah Leaves Multimedia to Manage Green Sports Academy

Friday, July 30, 2021, is the final working day for Ernest Buamah as a Sports Journalist at the renowned Multimedia Group Limited. Yes, Papa Ernesto, as he is popularly called, will bring an end to a journey that started nine years ago today.

Papa Ernesto has always been passionate about sports, so when he arrived at Multimedia in 2012, the Ghanaian media giants knew they have bolstered their sports department with a dedicated, hardworking and versatile individual.

He exhibited those qualities throughout his stay. Ernesto hosted shows on television (Adom TV) and radio (Asempa FM) before becoming the chief producer for most of Joy Sports’ flagship shows on television, especially tournament shows. Ernesto was also a regular pundit on the country’s ‘hottest’ sports show, Fire 4 Fire.

Ernesto would be missed.

Multimedia can, however, be proud of his time with them and wish him the very best as he enters a new field.

New Adventure

Papa Ernesto has landed a new to manage Green Sports Academy – a new academy based in Akatsi North, Volta Region.

The academy is for an unnamed businessman, who shares the same passion as Ernesto. They got into contact at Multimedia as the businessman frequently visited for shows and they have become great friends.

Now, the businessman has entrusted the day-to-day running of the academy into the hands of Ernesto, knowing very well he is more than competent for the task.

About the Academy.

Green Sports Academy is a sporting organization that gives young people the opportunity to develop and enhance their talents in the area of sports.

The organization will provide facilities such as a soccer pitch and boxing gymnasium for young talents to be trained and groomed to meet international standards and markets.

It will also organize sporting competitions for junior and senior high schools within the locality periodically to unearth talents for the Academy.

The targeted age range will be 14 – 19 years.

The Football Club, for now, will register to play in the Ghana Division 3 League.
