The thing that comes to mind is the popular song of Lucky Dube which says, ” blessed is the hand that gives, not the one that takes. It also brings to mind the biblical verse in Acts 20: 35 ” In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work, we must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus himself said: ” it is more blessed to give than to receive.
Who then is a giver? The one who knows all good gifts come from God. The one who uses his talents to help others, the one who knows that everyone needs someone, the one who knows we rise by helping others.
The facilitators of a just ended media and communication training for sisters in Kumasi at the Spiritual and Renewal center from 16th to 20th January, 2023,organized by the Conference of Major Superiors in Ghana, Mr. Damian Avevor, Mr. Robert Dela mawunyegah and Mr. Benedictus Adzah of NewsWatch Media, Ghana possess the qualities of intelligence, integrity, courage and wisdom.
These are the qualities of givers who are ready to sacrifice, burn themselves like candles, ready to show the light for others to see the way. Who could ever imagine Sisters (Religious) with Cameras at a function? Who could ever imagine Sisters telling their own stories? These givers have become channel of varied talents to the church, particularly to the different Congregations in Ghana whereby sisters are now equipped to tell their own stories.
They are already blessed for giving themselves up to the service of the church.
