Three ladies of the Congregation of the Holy Family of Nazareth, Mary Nancy Dakorah, Scholastica Maria Ntririwaa and Mary Joyce Aakongmen on March 16 professed their first vows at St. James Minor Seminary and Senior High School Chapel
While Sr. Mary Nancy Dakorah and Sr. Mary Joyce Aakongmen hailed from the Northern part of Ghana, Sr. Scholastica Maria Ntiriwaa is from the south of Ghana.
The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by the Bishop of Sunyani Diocese, Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi and concelebrated by some diocesans and religious priests in and outside the Diocese of Sunyani.
The Superior General, Mother Angela Marie Mazzeo received the vows of the newly professed Sisters while the St. James Minor Seminary and Senior High School Choir sang the songs of the Mass.
Bishop Gyamfi in his homily advised the newly professed Sisters to be sincere in their “yes” to the through faithful Obedience and trust in the Lord.
He admonished them to “Beware of your own human understanding of the vows, follow what the Church and your constitution said”. From today you belong to the church and your congregation, be the best you can.”
Sr. Scholastica Maria Ntiriwaa on behalf of her colleague Sisters expressed their profound gratitude to God and all that supported them during their formation days.
