Veterans Celebrate Christmas with Colleague-Patients at 37 Military Hospital

The management of the Veterans Administration, Ghana (VAG) on Christmas day, December 25, 2021,  distributed gifts to their colleagues on admission at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.

The management led by the Executive Director, Capt. Ben Edmund Duah (Rtd) presented hamper and calendar each to the 19 veterans on admission including the hospital staff on duty at the time of the presentation.

Capt. Ben Edmund Duah (Rtd) said the purpose of the donation is to show love and care as well as to share the joy of Christmas with their colleagues who regrettably are on admission.

He stated that the intension of including the staff on duty at the hospital is also to show appreciation to their effort and respect towards the veterans on admission and also to motivate them to continue the good work they are rendering to the nation.

The PRO of VAG, Ex W.O.1. Bright Segbefia revealed that the Christmas donation exercise to their colleagues on admission at the 37 Military hospital is gradually becoming a calendar routine for management.

In furtherance, Ex W.O.1. Bright Segbefia emphasized on their name “Veterans Administration, Ghana” which was formerly Veterans Association of Ghana. He said in 2012, an Act of Parliament was passed making the Veterans association a state agency under the Ministry of Defense. Hence, the name “Veterans Administration, Ghana” VAG.

He, therefore, appealed to the media to help educate Ghanaians about their current status.
