Must read

Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff at the office of the president has advised school children to take both academic work and extra curricular activities seriously to progress in life.

The Deputy Chief of Staff said this during her visit to SAP’s School on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, where she encouraged the learners to actively participate in other school activities.

She said, “I was a sports girl in school and I was also in the cultural troupe. You can see that you don’t just read but you can do other things. You have to be all round, you have to be confident and study hard.”

Hon. Nana Oye noted that extra curricular activities in school helps learners build their confidence.

She also advised the children to “read a lot and broaden their knowledge”, emphasizing the importance of academic excellence.

According to Hon. Nana Oye, children must always respect their parents and teachers in order to achieve their goals.

“Obey and listen to your parents and your teachers. They have gone through life and they have a lot of advise. I am a lawyer because I listened to my teachers and parents”, she said.

Hon. Nana Oye’s visit served as an inspiration to staff and learners of SAP’s school as they celebrate 50 years of excellence.

She congratulated the school for its milestone and hoped for more successful years ahead.
