The Accra East Temple of the Noble and Exalted Knights of the Holy Cross, Knights of St. John International, has exemplified 60 Brothers with the Noble Degree at a solemn and dignified ceremony at the Holy Spirit Cathedral, Adabraka, Accra.
The event brought together distinguished clergy, senior members of the Order, and guests in a celebration marked by deep spiritual significance and fraternal unity.
In attendance were Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp, Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra and Noble Spiritual Director of the Temple, and Most Rev. John Kobina Louis, Auxiliary Bishop of Accra.
The Noble Degree, a significant milestone within the Order, was conferred on the candidates following due preparation, symbolizing their commitment to the ideals of faith, charity, and service upheld by the Knights of St. John International.
Also present were Senior Nobles, Brothers and Officers, Brothers and Sisters of the Order, as well as family members and loved ones of the candidates, who gathered to witness and celebrate this important achievement.
The current Officers of Accra East Temple are: Most Rev. John B. Kwofie, CSSp, Noble Spiritual Director; N/Bro Damien Amoatin, Noble Grand Master; N/Bro Anthony Kofi Sao, Past Noble Grand Master; N/Bro Bekoe Palmer-Buckle, Past Noble Grand Master; N/Bro Joseph D. Obeng, Noble Vice Grand Master; N/Bro Dominic K. Darkwa, Noble Scribe; and N/Bro Bernard Quarcoo, Noble Keeper of the Exchequer.
The ceremony underscored the enduring values of unity, discipline, and service, while encouraging the newly exemplified Brothers to remain steadfast in their responsibilities and dedication to the mission of the Order.
The last Exemplification was the 1st Joint Exemplification for the Accra East Temple and Accra West Temple held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral, Accra, on May 6, 2023, as the Thirteenth Exemplification in Ghana. In all, Ninety-Four (94) Brothers from the two Temples were exemplified. Accra East Temple presented fifty-two (52) Brothers, whilst Accra West Temple presented forty-two (42) Brothers for that historic ceremony.
The Principal Celebrant was His Lordship, Most Rev. Gabriel Edoe Kumordji, SVD, Bishop of Keta-Akatsi Diocese, and was assisted by Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra.
The Saturday, May 2, 2026, Exemplification is the Fourteenth Exemplification in Ghana and the second Exemplification for the Accra East Temple.
