Catholic Youth in Ghana’s Ho Diocese End Leadership Seminar

The Ho Deanery Youth Council of the Ho Diocese in the West African country of Ghana has ended a 3-day Leadership Seminar, held at the Bishop Holland Memorial Formation and Pastoral Centre at Sokode-Gborgame.

The June 11 to 13 Seminar, brought together youth leaders from the various parishes under the Deanery.

The lead facilitator, Mr. Bismark Tay, took the participants through training on how to prepare themselves for leadership, leading people with different temperaments, and building an effective team as youth of the Catholic church.

Rev. Fr. Fidelix Kumado, the Diocesan Youth Chaplain, urged the youth to always avail themselves for leadership roles in the Church.

Rev. Fr. Samuel Eco Kornu, who presided over the Thanksgiving Mass on Sunday, June 13, 2021, advised catholic youth to always hope in the Lord and be good Ambassadors of Christ and the Church.

Mrs. Patience Fafa Kudu-Sogbe, the Deanery Youth Chairperson, in her closing remarks encouraged her fellow youth leaders to put the lessons from the seminar into practice.

She also expressed gratitude to the facilitators and participants for a successful programme and called for the support of all to rejuvenate the youth groups in the Deanery and the Diocese at large.

She also announced a skills training programme for youth in the Deanery and entreated to avail themselves for such an opportunity to acquire livelihood skills.
