Hard Drugs Destroying Majority Of Our Youth – Rev. Ngurumesi

Must read

A spiritualist and minister in charge of the Bungalow branch of the African Faith Tabernacle Church in Agona Swedru, Rev. Kofi Ngurumesi Esuon, has lamented the rate of destruction of life of the youth in the country as a result of the intake of hard drugs, describing it as s worrisome development and a threat to the future of the country’s younger generation, if pragmatic steps are not taken to address the situation.

According to him, the situation accounts for over sixty percent of all psychiatric cases in the country, particularly among the youth, followed by depression and broken hearts among would-be couples.

Speaking in an interview with News Ghana, Rev. Ngurumesi revealed that signs such as loneliness and isolation by a member of the family are early indications of psychiatric development that could lead to mental problems and, in some cases, suicide, and has therefore advised families, particularly parents to look out for such signs among their children whose social life is suspicious.

He has therefore called on authorities to help control the drug menace in the country and their abusive use by the youth to help save the situation.
