Help Build the Domestic Church- Christian Mothers in Accra Urged

Rev. Fr. Samuel Korkordi, the Director at the Archbishop Andoh Catechetical Centre, a Catholic Spiritual Centre near Shai Hills on the Tema – Akosombo road, has urged members of the Christian M others’ Association to live in unity to support build the domestic Church.

“As Mothers, you need to live in unity and love and support to build the domestic church,” he said in homily at Mass on Saturday, June 3, 2023 when the CMA members embarked on a pilgrimage to the Catechetical Centre.

The pilgrimage which was part spiritual activities of the Association was attended by over 1,000 Mothers undertook a Marian walk through the labyrinth with individual rosary prayers, Stations of the Cross, general confessions and Holy Mass.

Fr. Korkordi admonished the Mothers to “Walk and work according to the work of God,” reminding them that as mothers they would face challenges but they need to always pray for the Holy spirit to teach them how to speak and give them the spirit of humility.

He advised the Mothers to stop comparing and complaining for the devil was always ready to steal their time. He encouraged them to endeavour to be organising more spiritual programmes every year especially on the birthday of Mother Mary, September 8.

As part of the pilgrimage, two Archdiocesan Executives, Mother Paulina Darko, Assistant Secretary and Mother Rita Osei-Bonsu, a Co-opted member were inducted into office since they were unavailable during the induction some months back.

Four Committees were also inaugurated to support the work of the executives. They are Finance, Welfare and Projects, Membership and Spirituality, and Events and Communication

In the spirit of charity, the Mothers made a cash donation to support the renovation of the kitchen at the Catechetical Centre.
