All is set for a massive worship and revival experience in Accra as international and local gospel giants have been lined up for the 10th World Assemblies of God Congress.

Addressing a Press Conference on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Assemblies of God Headquarters in Accra, General Superintendent Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam named Joe Mettle, Sinach, Dunsin Oyekan, Rev. Angela Donadio from the USA, and Gramophone Chorale as guest artistes.

The press conference was attended by the Assistant General Superintendent, members of the Executive Presbytery, church leadership, ministers of the church and planning committee members.

Rev. Wengam disclosed that the artistes will be supported by a 500-member Congress Mass Choir to minister during the Congress.

He explained the structure of the Congress, saying morning sessions from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm will be held at the Black Star Square where leaders will cross-fertilise ideas, while evenings will shift to free revival rallies for all denominations at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Due to the lack of any facility in Ghana capable of accommodating all 10,000 participants for morning sessions, he said a temporary spacious infrastructure is being built at Black Star Square to host the numbers.

On the spiritual need for the Congress, Rev. Wengam stated that “globally we live in a period of military brutality and social calamity” and nationally Ghana is bleeding from the consequences of sin, hence the need for fervent prayers during the Congress.

He therefore made a passionate appeal to the Ghanaian media, referencing the Agenda Setting Theory and Malcolm X’s quote that the media is the most powerful entity on earth, to partner with the church.

He called on editors, reporters, producers, presenters, bloggers and commentators to saturate both offline and online spaces with quality and edifying content to sell Ghana’s image and make the Congress an outstanding success.

Rev. Wengam concluded by inviting every Ghanaian and the entire Christian community to participate in the historic global event, saying that when the history of the Congress is written, the Ghanaian media will occupy a unique place.
