Your Faith and Trust in Christ Jesus is Vital – Rev Erzoah-Amihere

Must read

Christians have been called to maintain their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ who gives peace beyound understanding, to give them the respite they require during this era of the COVID -19 pandemic.

“No physical barrier can separate you from the giver of life and the giver of inner peace,” Reverend Isaiah K.

Erzoah- Amihere of the Serephim Congregation said, adding that after the resurrection, the disciples locked themselves in a room for fear of being persecuted, but Christ appeared in their midst in the locked room and offered them peace saying peace be unto you”.

Reverend Isaiah K. Erzoah- Amihere, Pastor in-charge of the Serephim Congregation of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, speaking on Sunday urged Christians to believe that in whatever situation they found themselves, Christ was with them.

He said this at a virtual joint worship service held by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, Bubiashie Parish and Seraphim Congregation, Kaneshie, that was telecast live by Aseye Tv on Facebook on the first Sunday after the Resurrection Sunday on the Christian Calendar.

Rev Erzoah- Amihere said the peace that Christ gives does not interfere with what was happening round the world today.
He said people can be diagnosed with COVID -19, but will still have their inner peace and have total healing due to their faith in God.

“If we know what Christ has done for us as Christians, we will be going through tribulations, but will be prepared for a higher inheritance.

Why is the world not enjoying this peace that Christ has left for us? He asked, but was quick to answer that it was because Christians needed to make themselves available to Christ to be used for his service in diverse ways.
Rev Erzoah- Amihere said many Christians are church goers and have not made themselves available to the service of Christ.

He also urged all to allow Christ to breathe his peace on them and be made anew.
“If you allow yourselves to be breathed on by Christ, you will be able to have an eye of faith and good things will come out of it,” he said.

For the peace of the world to be full, we need to be mission-oriented Christians and not selfish agenda Christians adding that the mission-oriented people will work and flush out all forms of evils around them, he said.

Rev. Lovell S. K. Nunekpeku, Pastor in-charge of the Bubuashie Parish, who led the Liturgy for the day, urged all to continue to adhere to the precautionary health guidelines as directed by the WHO and government and more importantly allow the peace of Jesus Christ to lead and guide them in all their affairs.
