The Catholic Youth Going for Khebab-A-Thon

Must read

When I saw Atinga Nsobila Joel’s flyer announcing his desire to set the Guinness World Record for the longest barbecue marathon, I was intrigued by it. This is because, I am naturally excited when I see young people engage in profitable activities.
When I made my first post about him, one commenter noted that they attend the same Church. When I contacted Joel about it, I was pleasantly surprised to know he is indeed a Catholic by faith.
When he was a student at the University for Development Studies, Navrongo campus, he served as the President of Pax-Romana.
His home parish in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region of Ghana, is Our Lady Queen of Africa. He is currently based in Accra.
In Accra he is a member of St. Daniel Comboni Catholic Church, an outstation of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, New Achimota. In fact, he is currently the Youth Secretary of the Church.
It is obvious that this is a Catholic youth who takes his faith life seriously.
He is indeed an inspiration to all the young ones.
On our part as a Church, let us see how we can support Joel as he undertakes this attempt.
I call upon all Pax-Romana members to reach out to him to offer him some form of assistance.
I call upon all Catholic youths, especially those of OLA parish and Our Lady Queen of Africa, to come to his aid.
I call upon Catholic bloggers to give him a shot.
Indeed, I call upon the entire Catholic Church in Ghana to offer this young man a helping hand, both physically and spiritually.
It is superfluous to say that the help we give to young Joel will serve as a practical example to all that whoever engages in a worthy cause can always count on the support of the church.

Good luck, Joel. Be assured of the support of your brothers and sisters in the faith.
