Rev. Fr. Antony Parankimalil VC, during a Eucharistic Spirituality Seminar with Catholic men of the catholic Archdiocese of Accra, has urged men to be noble in showing the utmost respect to their wives, as God pleases.
According to him, men who do not respect their wives risk losing their children’s respect, saying, “If you don’t respect your wife, your wife will turn your children against you.”
Speaking on June 6, 2025, at the seminar, which brought together men in the Archdiocese to pray and learn from Fr. Parankimalil, a member of the Vincentian Congregation, known for his ministry of the Holy Eucharist.

Addressing a large number of men at the Holy Spirit Cathedral at Adabraka, Fr. Parankimalil stressed the importance of husbands and wives living in harmony, stating that they should “live in the same house, room, bed, pray together and go on journeys together.”
He also spoke about three things that make Jesus happy, including agreement among siblings, friendship with neighbours, and husband and wife living in harmony. According to him, men should produce spiritual fruits, noting, “if you don’t produce any fruits, people will not have any problem.”

He encouraged the men to be influenced by God, rather than following the crowd, warning that “bad company ruins good morals,” and to love their enemies, referencing Mathew 5:44, which states that a Christian should not have any enmity.
The Vincentian Priest further discussed the fullness of joy in the presence of God, drawing inspiration from Psalm 16:11 and reassuring the men that “He will never reject you,” citing Mathew 11:28, which encourages those who are weary to come to God for rest.

He also cited Psalm 38:19-20 and Luke 6:22, emphasizing the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity. Throughout his message, Fr. Antony emphasized the importance of living a life that pleases God.
