The much anticipated Archbishop Kwofie Summer Camp has officially been launched to provide holistic formation for Junior High School graduates and Senior High School students.
The official launch of the Archbishop Kwofie Summer Camp happened on Sunday , June 15, 2025 at the St. Charles Lwanga Parish at Abeka, Accra.
The 2025 Archbishop Kwofie Summer Camp will take place from August 14 to 24, 2025, at the Catholic Youth Formation Centre at Lashibi.
During the launch, Daniel Anarfo Yin, Chairman of the Archbishop Kwofie Summer Camp Planning Committee, emphasised the significance of the camp, which has been on halt for eight years due to challenges posed by the double track system and the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said, “This camp is aimed at forming young students holistically, focusing more on their spiritual growth, skills development, and their physical growth and maturity”.
Addressing members of the clergy, Parish Pastoral Council, and parents, Daniel Anarfo Yin also added that the registration for the Archbishop Kwofie Summer Camp is opened to all BECE graduates and SHS students who will be at home during the period.
He added, “We are expecting about five(5) students from each Parish. By this launch, registration is opened and will close on August 3, 2025.”
He encouraged the youth to register through the registration platform which will be available to the various Parish Youth Councils.
The admission fee for the summer camp is GHc400 per participant, and individuals who wish to support the camp in cash and kind, especially non-perishable food items are encouraged to send their donations directly to the Archdiocesan Youth Office momo number: 0549893137 or contact the Archdiocsan Youth Chaplain on 0208513145.
In addition to this summer camp, organisers plan to host another camp in September for Senior High School students on vacation.
