CMA National President Tells Seminarians to Embrace Servant Leadership, Obedience, and Humility

Must read

Mother Hannah Essuman, National President of the Christian Mothers’ Association, has called on seminarians at St. Gregory the Great Major Seminary in Kumasi to embrace servant leadership and to be rooted in prayer and obedience as they prepare for the priesthood.

Speaking during the association’s annual visit to the seminary, Mother Essuman reminded the seminarians that the world they will serve is “hungry for truth, hope, compassion, and authentic and servant leadership.”

She said “…remain rooted in prayer, faithful to your studies, obedient to your formators, and humble in spirit. Let your lives reflect the example of Christ, who came not to be served but to serve”.

According to Mother Essuman, the church expects seminarians to be men of prayer, integrity, humility, and compassion.

“They will come to you not only in their moments of celebration but also in times of pain, confusion, and spiritual searching”, she added.

In her speech, she reminded the seminarians that the “priesthood is not a position of honour but a life of sacrifice, service, and total dedication to God and His people.”

Mother Hannah Essuman also assured the seminarians of the association’s continuous prayers, encouragement, and maternal support as they journey toward the priesthood.

The Christian Mothers’ Association’s visit to the seminary included the initiation of 46 seminarians and a donation of food items worth GHC 10,000.

The visit was held under the theme “Mothers in Mission: Palm Sunday Outreach,” aimed at strengthening the association’s apostolic support for seminarians.
