A Ghanaian Catholic Priest of the Sekondi-Takoradi Diocese, Rev. Fr. John Arwuah Edeafour, has composed a song titled “Gratitude of The Saints”, which he has dedicated to the whole world.
According to him, it is a song that gives a breath of fresh air and hope amid this coronavirus pandemic.
He said as a priest he would not capitulate to the dreaded Coronavirus but rather look to God who is able to spare his life by singing songs of gratitude to him.
In moments like these, when almost everybody is filled with apprehension, fear and worry, with some wailing and gnashing their teeth at the loss of their loved ones , yelling at themselves, their leaders and the economy during this coronavirus, he said the song os a consoling one.
With a stage name Rev. Fr. John Mary),
he is the Founder/ Director of Kenlebie-Mbganyima (Future Generation) Foundation KMF and a Composer/Singer of gospel music- Eucharistos Music Production EMP.
Both groups are aimed at unearthing and training young talents with music abilities to reach their truest potential.
By making this song, his hope is that, all who listen to it will develop an attitude of praise over panic.
These are some parts of the lyrics to the song;
“Give me another time, another chance to live long and I will be grateful.”
“Give me another Grace, another park to live and work And I will be grateful.”
“Give me another hope, another life to live today And I will be grateful
Give me another Grace, another path to carry my cross And I will be grateful”
“Give me another day, another chance O Lord, and I will be grateful.
We’re all called, as we listen to the song, to always put on an attitude of gratitude.”
