The family life Assemblies of God Church under the leadership of Rev. Eugene Anim has made donating running into thousands of Ghana Cedis to Church members.
The decision which was made by the Church board was aimed at reducing the financial difficulties that some members might be faced within the face of the COVID 19 lockdown directive from the President of the Republic of Ghana.
In an interview with the Senior Assistant Pastor of the Church; Rev. Justice Gyimah encouraged all members of the church to obey the social distancing directives by the Health Ministry and also observe all the basic health including but not limited to washing of hands as often as possible, wearing of nose mask.
In a related interview Deacon, Peter Boateng of the Church explained that the donation was directly to the vulnerable members in the church and also encouraged all members to obey the directives from the government and stay at home. “Your family needs you; the church needs you; the pandemic will soon be over and you will be counted as one of the people who survived it” he said.
Rev Eugene Anim who also doubles as the District Pastor for Newtown-Dzorwulu District with over a dozen branches Assemblies of God Church under his supervision indicated that the Church identified all the persons and visited them in their individual homes to make this donation in order to prevent overcrowding and also obey all the rules of COVID-19.
