The circular maintained that “May we have a spirit-filled Sacred Heart Awareness Month!
REFLECTION ON THE THEME FOR THE YEAR: “THE SACRED HEART DEVOTEE AND THE WORD OF GOD, FOR CHRISTIAN FORMATION AND TRANSFORMATION.”

It added that “Sacred Scripture is foundational to the life of the Christian. It has been and always will be formational and transformational for the Church. God gave it to us that we might orient our lives, identities and practices around the God who has spoken. God’s authoritative Word forms and transform our lives, our families, societies, communities.”

“In our contemporary culture of endless voices ready to shape us in their images, we are encouraged to recover Biblical Formation to enrich our transformation as people of God -Devotees and Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,” Fr. Obeng-Gyamfi noted in the news release.

He said “We want to celebrate, share and live out our faith through deeper Scriptural engagement,” adding “We want to create new and renewed encounter with Christ through the Sacred Scriptures.”

“We want to help achieve transformation in the faith and life of the Church and in our social lives through deeper evangelization, education, worship, devotion and social action,” the release said.

“Let us bear in mind that God speaks with purpose and His Word is effective and transformational. He speaks daily and the power of His Word is unchanging. It has the power to transform all created realities but remains unchanging (Is 55:10-11; 2 Tim 3:14-17),” the release stated.
